About the course
In this Machine Learning in Production course, you will build intuition about designing a production ML system end-to-end: project scoping, data needs, modeling strategies, and deployment patterns and technologies. You will learn strategies for addressing common challenges in production like establishing a model baseline, addressing concept drift, and performing error analysis. You’ll follow a framework for developing, deploying, and continuously improving a productionized ML application. Unders
The dissent
The most-upvoted critical review (24 votes, 3.0★).
“I know it's an introduction, but I got a bit disappointed. It's quite basic and even though it has some hands on notebooks, they're optional and you don't need to work on anything. Quizzes are easy, and I didn't have the feeling I learnt much. I'm still rating it with 3 because, well, it's Andrew Ng, and this his teaching is worth gold.”
Coursera's 4.8 comes from 3,373 ratings. Of those, 1.0% are 1–2★.
Starisk reads the reviews learners voted most helpful, and weights each by the square root of its votes: a review with 80 upvotes counts about five times one with 2. Unvoted reviews are not skipped out of laziness — by this model they carry no evidence that other students endorsed them.
That measures what the most-endorsed reviews say, not “true quality.” The rating distribution above is the whole population, so you can see the sample next to it.
