About the course
This is the third and final course in the Linear Algebra Specialization that focuses on the theory and computations that arise from working with orthogonal vectors. This includes the study of orthogonal transformation, orthogonal bases, and orthogonal transformations. The course culminates in the theory of symmetric matrices, linking the algebraic properties with their corresponding geometric equivalences. These matrices arise more often in applications than any other class of matrices. The th

“The video and notes are not enough to get a working understanding of the subject. A lot of supplementary learning was required, beyond any of the provided material. In order to get the proper answers to the assessment problems, the exact same methodology as the class examples must be followed as intermediate answers will differ, even if correct, based on solving choices even if the final answer is also correct.”
Coursera's 4.8 comes from 56 ratings. Of those, 0.0% are 1–2★.
Starisk reads the reviews learners voted most helpful, and weights each by the square root of its votes: a review with 80 upvotes counts about five times one with 2. Unvoted reviews are not skipped out of laziness — by this model they carry no evidence that other students endorsed them.
That measures what the most-endorsed reviews say, not “true quality.” The rating distribution above is the whole population, so you can see the sample next to it.
