About the course

Advance your PyTorch skills by building sophisticated deep learning models and preparing them for deployment. You’ll design custom architectures that go beyond Sequential models, exploring Siamese Networks, ResNet, and DenseNet to understand how modern systems handle complex data. You’ll build Transformer architectures and explore how attention mechanisms power modern language models. You’ll also learn how diffusion models generate realistic images by reversing noise. Along the way, you’ll vis

The dissent

The most-upvoted critical review (no upvotes, 2.0★).

“This course scales in complexity so significantly from the first that it isn't realistic a new learner would be able to complete the assignments without either (a) spending months going through all the references and writing code separately or (b) just copy/pasting from the hints. It's too bad because the overview of architectures was cool, albeit really rushed. Wasted opportunity.”

Coursera's 4.9 comes from 23 ratings. Of those, 4.3% are 1–2★.

Starisk reads the reviews learners voted most helpful, and weights each by the square root of its votes: a review with 80 upvotes counts about five times one with 2. Unvoted reviews are not skipped out of laziness — by this model they carry no evidence that other students endorsed them.

That measures what the most-endorsed reviews say, not “true quality.” The rating distribution above is the whole population, so you can see the sample next to it.
